“I’ve got a new winter styling hyper fixation, and it's sheer knee-high socks. I find that full-length black tights can make me look short. I am 5'2, which is the average height of an Australian woman. But I find that with sheer black tights, I need to wear a heel to feel comfortable. A sheer knee-high sock always works because there's a little bit of a gap in between your dress or your skirt and the socks. They're my new way to add just a little bit of interest to a winter outfit.”

“A brand that I have had my eye on is a brand called Tissa. It's all about East meets West design, and they've incorporated the classic sari, but reimagined it with a modern lens. I just love this because I'm half-Indian, so for me, seeing my culture blended in such a modern way that still shows cultural appreciation and still shows our roots and what's really important and traditional to our culture through a modern lens is so beautiful.”

“So my swap this week is actually a pair of pants that I bought recently because I'm kind of excited for when we get out of winter, and I just wanted a pair of pants for that. And I bought the Venroy Silk Relaxed Pant. These are so good to dress up and down.I've got a couple of the Venroy pants that I've bought over the years, and they wash really well. They wear really well, super comfy and easy.”

“I have discovered this super cool brand called Julietta, and I found them over on Moda Operandi where I actually always go if I want like something new, something fresh. They had this super cool resin cuff with a black onyx feature on it, which I thought was so stunning.”

“I bought a pair of thongs after seeing a lot of Instagram ads for this particular brand. And I just bought them on an impulse because they looked really comfortable. They are the Twoobs BFF thongs. I wouldn’t say these are cheap thongs; they are $119. But they’ve got arch support, they’re 100% waterproof, and they’re very lightweight.”

“My swap this week is from Melbourne-based brand Deering, who you might know from their sunglasses and their clothing. But they have just dropped some shoes. They are definitely a premium price point; they’re $550, and I am really, really hesitant to spend significant money on shoes because I am so heavy-footed, but I saw these and the way that I ran to cart.”

“My swap is a pair of slippers that I invested in the other day. I walked past the Ugg store in Emporium. I needed a new pair of slippers.”

“My swap is the Aussie brands that are worth browsing at the moment. I bought recently from Decjuba; I have never really shopped at Decjuba, but I bought a cropped trench from there for a trip. I just need something mid-weight. So I bought that for myself. Really love it.”

“My swap is a US brand called Hanky Panky. It's kind of this one-size-fits-all, and I think on the pack, it was US size 4 to size US 16. So they're like these little lacy Gs, that kind of stretch with you.They are so comfy and they're kind of cute, a bit sexy.”

“I went to Oroton, which I haven't been into for a while. I have shopped their stuff previously though, and I bought my mum the most beautiful pale blue Cashmere Knit. It wasn't cheap. It was definitely a really nice gestured gift I wanted to give mom, but the fabrication was absolutely beautiful in all of their knitwear and I was like, I think we've been sleeping on Oroton a little bit.”

“The Lululemon Groove Wideleg Pants. Now, the original Groove Pants, I don't think, are made for 5'3 girls who don't want people to stare at their hips. “But the Wideleg, come to mama. I wore these on the plane last time I travelled overseas. They are the comfiest pants.”

“So my swaps are next to skin layers and I have been investing in quite a few. My go-to every single winter is the Uniqlo, Heattech Long Sleeves. You can get a range of necklines and colours. If you want something to wear as its own piece, I love Entire Studios uniform series. They're like a $130 price point. They snatch you in as well and give you a bit of shape. And finally, Beare Park Superfine Knits. Now, they're a little bit more lush. They're $220, but they've got a merino composition, which I love as well.”
